01 Grease a 23cm (9in) loose-bottomed tart tin with butter.
02 Put the digestive biscuits (or graham crackers) into a food processor and process until finely crushed. Alternatively, put them into a plastic bag and crush with a rolling pin. Tip into a medium bowl, then pour in the melted butter and mix together until fully combined.
03 Press the mixture into your prepared tin using the base of a glass and your fingers to get it right to the edges, then pop it in the refrigerator while you make the filling.
04 Put the chocolate chips or chocolate pieces into a heatproof bowl. Put the cream into a microwave-safe jug and microwave on high for about 1 minute 20 seconds until hot, but not boiling. Pour the hot cream over the chocolate and leave to stand for about 2 minutes.
05 Gently stir the cream and chocolate until completely combined, thick and smooth. Remove the base from the refrigerator, then pour over the chocolate filling. Chill in the refrigerator for 3 hours, or until set (overnight is preferable).
06 To serve, pop the tart out of the tin and cut into 12 slices.
07 Store in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
